Vice President of Operations
The VP of Operations shall perform duties requested by the President and the Board of directors. In the event of a vacancy in the office of President, the VPO shall assume the duties of the President until a new president is elected. In the President’s absence, the VPO shall also assume the duties of the President. The VPO will oversee the following committees alongside the President:
Vice President of Membership
The VP of Membership oversees all duties related to recording and tracking all membership and ensuring each member is entered into all appropriate areas. The VPM shall work with other committees to ensure the request of volunteers. The VPM may appoint (with the board’s approval) and oversee the responsibilities of:
The Secretary shall record the minutes of all Executive Board, Board, and General Membership meetings; shall coordinate with the President to create agendas for each meeting; and shall perform such other delegated duties as may be assigned by the board of directors, and shall maintain a file of important documents related to that local PTA, including but not limited to:

Nominating Committee (Standing Committee)
Hospitality (Advocacy) Committee (Standing Committee)
The advocacy committee shall be established by November 1 each year. The committee shall develop and organize meetings, activities, and programs to further the goals and purposes of PTA. This committee is tasked with improving communications and relationships between school staff and families; educating families and caregivers on important issues related to the health and educational success of their children; and helping to make each child’s potential a reality. Reports to the Secretary & President.

Budget Committee (Special Committee)
The members shall prepare a proposed annual budget which, following approval by the board, shall be considered and adopted at the first general membership meeting of the fiscal year. Amendments to the budget may be considered and adopted at regular or special general membership meetings. Reports to the Treasurer & President.
MISC. VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Spirit Night Coordinator
Responsible for reaching out to various businesses to schedule monthly Spirit Nights (or days) that will be both enjoyable for families and profitable for the PTA. Reports to the Treasurer & President.
Assumes all duties of recording and tracking all membership and ensuring each member is entered into the NCPTA directory (MemberHub), email lists, and Signup.com. Reports to the VP of Membership & President.
Responsible for sending out signups for all events and making sure that each event is appropriately staffed. Coordinates with Health Science Academy, Honor Society, ECU students, and/or any other volunteer groups the board agrees on. Reports to the VP of Membership & President.
Bulletin Board Volunteer
Responsible for updating the bulletin board in the hallway as well as the announcement board outside the school with any events (for both PTA and the school). Reports to the Volunteer Coordinator, VP of Membership & President.
Responsible for updating the Facebook and Weebly pages with current officers, current news, and anything else deemed pertinent. Reports to the Volunteer Coordinator, VP of Membership & President.
